Chico Friends,

Are you fed up with the decline in the quality of civic life in Chico? I know I am! We need to fight to reverse this dangerous trend.

That’s why I’ve teamed up with community leaders to form this Political Action Committee that will help elect candidates that, like us, do not accept the descent into squalor and lawlessness that we see all around us. We are a non-partisan organization consisting of fed up Democrats, Republicans and Independents that believe in Compassion + Accountability + Action.

Citizens for a Safe Chico believes that homeless people need somewhere to go. It’s not compassionate to let people live in unsanitary conditions and die on the streets. We support smart transitional housing solutions, drug treatment and mental health services that help people that want to help themselves. We believe in a hand up, not a hand out.

Citizens for a Safe Chico believes that the laws apply to all citizens and should be enforced equally.  Being poor or addicted to drugs does not give someone permission to steal, engage in disruptive behavior or pollute public spaces. We believe we must act now to make Chico safe.
